Ranked 5thDynastySan Diego Dynasty is the most legendary team ever to play the game, with well over 50 wins since their inception in 2001, in every format the sport has offered. Dynasty has only finished out of the top ten once since the creation of XBall 17 years ago. But Dynasty hasn’t had a big win in the NXL since the first event of 2017 in Las Vegas. But the two-and-a-half-year drought was almost broken in Philly.nAt the last event in Philly Dynasty looked ready to win, as they dominated every team they played through the prelims and early on Sunday. They ran off three mercy rule wins in a row, destroying Impact, the ML Kings and Damage, all 6-0. Their mastery during that point run came down to shooting bodies on the break, staying alive, and capitalizing on their constant advantage.nBut unfortunately for them and their fans, they were knocked out by the Russians in the quarter finals.nNow ranked 5th overall, Dynasty has some impressive stats this year. They’ve only lost to two teams total all season: three times to the Russians and once to AC Dallas. nTheir line boasts some of the most storied names who are still at the height of their powers.nRyan Greenspan is still one of the best players in the game, 19 years after turning pro and Alex Fraige will be back in mix after missing the last event. Alex is never scared to attack and adds depth to the snake side. Alex Rodriguez turned the NXL center stage into slaughter house where he was carving up opponents at will, which is exactly what Dynasty brought him back onto the team to do. Veteran Yosh Rau adds a big gun off the break and is playing some of the best paintball of his career the past few seasons.nTyler Harmon played like a beast on a mission and again proved his versatility by moving over to snake side; his ability to play all three sections of the field make Dynasty a tougher team to scout.Blake Yarber is an athletic missile who’s a force to be reckoned with on the Dside. Arturo Andrade has steady improved since coming back from his knee surgery.nOne of the best players in the world, Marcello Margot, is coming back from a knee injury and should be at full strength by Chicago, where we could see Dynasty take the victory and edge into the NXL series title race.
